A thriller based on a Rugby Union Club of a small Northern town. When Connon arrives home, his wife is even more uncommunicative than usual. She is slumped in an armchair watching a variety show on TV. Five hours later, the TV is still on - and Connon notices that his wife has been clubbed to death.
